Get ready for a summer of creativity and fun at BellyFire's Summer Pottery Camps! Our engaging, hands-on camps let kids explore the world of clay through themed projects inspired by everything from fantasy creatures to space exploration and Louisiana wildlife.

With talented instructors, creative activities, and plenty of opportunities for self-expression, your child will craft unique pottery pieces they’ll be proud to show off. Spark their imagination and let them discover the joy of pottery in a fun, supportive environment.

Camp projects are subject to change, but the theme will always remain the same.

Ages: 8 - 15

Times: 8:30am - 11:30am

Typical Daily Agenda:

8:30 : Checkin / Name Tags
8:40 : Get to Know Each Other / Review the Day’s Plans / Sketching ideas/ Split into 2 groups by age (with larger sessions)
8:50 - 9:35 : Group 1/ Activity 1 : Group 2/ Activity 2
9:40 : Snack (always peanut butter-free)
10:00 : Clay charades and other fun games
10:20 - 11:10 : Group 1/ Activity 2 : Group 2/ Activity 1
11:10 : Finishing touches / Clean Up Time
11:30 : Pickup

Pricing:

5 Day Session (Monday - Friday): $300

4 Day Session (Monday - Thursday): $260

Friday only (Wheel focus): $90

Most pieces will not be painted/glazed during camp, as they need time to dry before firing. Pieces are typically ready 2-3 weeks after the conclusion of camp. Returning to paint completed pieces is included in the cost of each camp. Keep Scrolling to learn a little about each camp!

Summer Camp Sessions

Session 1: The Four Elements

Explore the magic of clay in The Four Elements pottery camp! Each day, kids will craft exciting projects inspired by Earth, Fire, Air, and Water—like planters, candle holders, whistles, and pitchers. With fun activities and hands-on learning, they'll shape, glaze, and play their way through an unforgettable creative adventure.

Session 2: Louisiana Wildlife

Discover the beauty of the bayou in Louisiana Wildlife pottery camp! Kids will craft nature-inspired pieces like magnolia bowls, crawfish sculptures, and swamp scene platters, bringing local wildlife to life in clay. With hands-on projects and fun activities, they'll explore their creativity while celebrating Louisiana’s unique natural wonders.

Session 3: Under the Sea

Dive deep into creativity with Under the Sea pottery camp! Kids will craft ocean-inspired pieces like fish wind chimes, wave-patterned bowls, and tentacle-wrapped mugs while exploring the wonders of marine life. Through fun hands-on projects and exciting activities, they'll bring the magic of the sea to life in clay.

Session 4: Holidays Around the World

Celebrate global traditions with Holidays Around the World pottery camp! Each day, kids will explore unique cultural celebrations by creating Diwali diya lamps, Día de los Muertos skulls, Ramadan lanterns, and Japanese Omisoka soba bowls. Through hands-on projects and festive activities, they'll discover the beauty of diverse holiday traditions while crafting meaningful pieces to take home.

Session 5: Stars, Stripes, and Summer Days

Make the most of sunny vibes with Summer Days pottery camp! Kids will create fun, seasonal pieces like beach sunset plates, summer-themed planters, and chip-and-dip platters—perfect for summer gatherings. With hands-on projects and creative exploration, they'll capture the essence of summer in clay while having a blast.

Session 6: Cajun and Creole Cuisine

Get a taste of Louisiana with Cajun and Creole Cuisine pottery camp! Kids will craft deliciously fun pieces like beignet plates, crawfish trays, and gumbo bowls, celebrating the rich flavors and traditions of the region. With each hands-on project, they'll bring the spirit of Louisiana’s cuisine to life in clay.

Session 7: Animals!

Unleash creativity with Animals pottery camp! Kids will craft adorable animal-themed pieces like pinch pot bells, planters, and bird feeders while learning fun pottery techniques. From sculpting to wheel throwing, they'll bring their favorite creatures to life in clay through hands-on projects and playful exploration.

Session 8: Space Exploration

Blast off into creativity with Space Exploration pottery camp! Kids will craft cosmic creations like planet pinch pots, rocket sculptures, and alien heads while exploring the wonders of the universe. With hands-on projects and space-themed fun, they'll launch their imaginations to infinity and beyond.

Session 9: Fantasy Creatures

Step into a world of magic with Fantasy Creatures pottery camp! Kids will bring their wildest imaginations to life by crafting monster pinch pots, mythical creature whistles, and enchanted planters. With hands-on projects and creative storytelling, they'll sculpt their very own fantasy worlds in clay.
